It turns out the woman I went to see last night is the mother of my boss's daughter (I assume they're not together, because they would've had used such a strange way to describe each other.. although I do wonder with Germans sometimes...).
She wanted me to help her with her work and correct anything that is wrong, like spelling, punctuation and grammar (obviously, we have never met before this point!). So it took about an hour correcting things and helping her write more. When I'd finished, she offered me 20€ for my time, but I declined (stupidly, seeing as I went straight to H&M afterwards!!) - I didn't think it was very fair that I took money seeing as I was only doing it as a favour.

She then said she's going to help me with my dissertation because she grew up in East Germany and loves to talk about the wall. She also said that she knows someone else who can help me because he tried to escape from East Germany, and went to Hungary illegally! So that should pad out my research and dissertation quite a bit! So, obviously I'm quite looking forward to that now. At least it should make writing 10,000 words interesting!

Tonight is football. We shall be watching Germany, but I will have a live ticker on for the French. With my fingers crossed throughout the both of them! Vive la France and all that...
